ABOUT THE IOWA LAKES FOUNDATION

"Our mission is to advance Iowa Lakes Community College through engagement and philanthropy. The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation was formed to better serve our alumni and friends in the region and beyond."

Advancing Iowa Lakes Through Engagement and Philanthropy

Creating opportunities for everyone to stay engaged is at the core of the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s mission. Our work encompasses all that our alumni, friends, and community members do to strengthen Iowa Lakes Community College.

We are committed to engaging everyone

We are dedicated to engaging everyone who supports Iowa Lakes Community College—alumni, fans, students, parents, and friends—through programming, events, and opportunities to give back.

A nonprofit IRC Sec. 501(c)(3) organization, the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation is an independent entity and the preferred channel for private contributions that benefit all areas of the college. Our work is guided by a volunteer board of directors, who elect our officers and appoint our leadership.

History of the foundation

Initially established as the Iowa Lakes Housing Foundation in 1982, the Board of Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College authorized the formation of a new foundation in 1995. This led to the incorporation of the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization on September 13, 1996.

Serving the entire college district with representatives from each of the five counties, the Foundation focuses on developing scholarships and other resources beyond public funding to benefit all students, regardless of the campus they attend.
