Iowa Lakes awarded nearly $1,000,000 in scholarships last year, and with more than 150 scholarships available, there may be one waiting for you!
Applying is easy and completely free. With just one application through our AwardSpring platform, you’ll be considered for all available Iowa Lakes scholarships. Follow the steps below to get started:
GETTING STARTED
Step 1: Apply to Iowa Lakes
Before you can apply for scholarships, you must apply and be accepted to Iowa Lakes Community College.
Once accepted, you’ll receive an acceptance letter with your Iowa Lakes email address and login credentials.
Step 2: Access Your Scholarship Account
After receiving your acceptance letter from Iowa Lakes:

You’ll be granted limited access to the Iowa Lakes scholarship portal through AwardSpring.

Your login credentials will include a username that looks like an email address.

When logging into AwardSpring, use only the part before @IOWALAKES.EDU as your username.
Already accepted or enrolled (including high school dual credit students)? You already have an account! Just log in with your existing credentials, and begin with Step 3 below.

Step 3: Start Your Application in AwardSpring
Visit the AwardSpring platform and begin your scholarship application.

Be sure to complete all required fields before submitting.
Step 4: Tell Us Your Story, Get Matched and Fund Your IT!
Scholarships at Iowa Lakes are about more than just GPA—they consider your background, goals, and experiences. Take time to share your story, your ambition, your grit, and your path matter.
Once you submit your application, AwardSpring will automatically match you with scholarships that align with your qualifications. If awarded, funds are applied directly to your student account to help fund your IT.
