(Estherville, Iowa) Iowa Lakes Community College announces the establishment of the Invenergy Red Rock Wind Fund Scholarship, which will be awarded to five students enrolled in career and technical programs from Clay, Emmet, and Dickinson Counties in Iowa.

The $10,000 scholarship, generously funded by Invenergy and the Red Rock Wind Energy Center, supports students pursuing full-time education in career and technical fields. Each selected student will receive $2,000 to aid in their educational journey.

“Invenergy and the Red Rock Wind Energy Center are proud to support youth programming and higher education in Clay, Emmet, and Dickinson Counties,” said Joseph Crowley of Invenergy. “Programs like Iowa Lakes Community College’s Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Program train students to be highly skilled candidates in a growing renewable energy workforce and enable young people to secure family-sustaining, local jobs right here in northwest Iowa.”
